Day 1

The coach departs for Ripon Cathedral where we will have a guided visit on arrival, there will be time to enjoy some lunch before continuing to the Holiday Inn Hotel Gosforth Park for 2 nights dinner bed & breakfast.

Day 2

After breakfast the coach transfers to Holy Island, on arrival we will be met by Bishop John who will give the days programme, there will be ample time to visit the Church of St Mary and the famous journey sculpture, St Aidan's Winery or simply relax in one of the many cafes. If you are an English heritage member, take advantage of visiting the Lindisfarne Priory (non-members there is a charge), Mass will be celebrated before we return to the Hotel in plenty of time for dinner.

Day 3

Deaprt the Hotel after breakfast, there will be a visit to the Angel of the North and Durham before arriving back in Manchester late afternoon/early evening.

A modern Newcastle hotel in quiet grounds just outside the city the Holiday Inn® Newcastle - Gosforth Park hotel sits in a peaceful setting close to the junction of the A1/A19 roads. Enjoy a walk in the sprawling grounds, clock a few laps in the leisure club's indoor pool or wind down in the spa bath. Residents must book for spa treatments. Please call direct at 0191 2019965.
