Rome, Assisi & San Giovanni

The flight departs Manchester for Rome. After reclaiming your baggage upon arrival, a coach will transfer you to your hotel where accommodation has been arranged for 3 nights on dinner bed & breakfast basis, join the Canons Mass in St Peters at 5.00pm.

20 Oct 25

This morning, we will visit the Basilica's of St John Lateran for Mass & St Mary Major. In the afternoon, we will visit one of the Catacombs (entrance fee €10 per person) before we travel to the Basilica of St Paul's outside the walls for a visit.

21 Oct 25

After breakfast visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva for Mass, there will then be a walking tour of the historical centre taking in the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon & Navona Square.

22 Oct 25

The weekly Papal Audience will take place at 09.30am - tickets will be given by your courier. The coach departs Rome at 1.00pm for the journey to Assisi, on arrival check in to the hotel, celebrate Mass in the Basilica of St Francis before dinner.

23 Oct 25

After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we will be joined by our local guide for a visit to the Basilica of St Clare for Mass, we then have a guided visit of the Basilica of St Francis, there will be ample free time before dinner at the hotel.

24 Oct 25

This morning Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of St Mary of the Angel, you will have the opportunity to visit the Porziuncola - the small church inside the Basilica where the Franciscan movement started. We will visit the monastery at San Damiano, which was the first monastery of the order of St Clare, afternoon free in Assisi.

We depart Assis after breakfast for the journey to San Giovani Rotondo, a stop will be made at Loreto to visit the Holy House, Mass will be celebrated before continuing the journey to San Giovanni, on arrival check in to the hotel for dinner and 2 nights stay

26 Oct 25

Mass will be celebrated, after Mass we meet at the English Office for a talk about Padre Pio, Stations of the Cross follow. After lunch there will be a guided visit, after which free time for shopping/relaxing or looking around the Basilica. Dinner will be taken in the hotel.

27 Oct 25

This morning, we travel to Pietrelcina, the birthplace of Padre Pio, Mass will be celebrated, we visit the Church where he was baptised and the chapel of the Stigmata, we continue the journey to Naples for our final overnight stay.

28 Oct 25

After breakfast the coach transfers to the airport to join the flight back to Manchester.
